Child Love of Aviation Tattoo Toy Airplane Tattoos In Flight Adam Kilss

I’m taking a little break from the multitude of warplane-inspired tattoos out there today and adding something a bit more whimsical…

I’m sure you can relate to this shot… we all did it as a kid! This version was expertly completed by Adam Kilss of Art & Soul Tattoo Los Angeles, CA.

Laker Airways Tattoo: Brand Loyalty

Posted on July 4, 2008

Freddie Laker Airways Tattoo Airline Airliner Airplane Tattoos In Flight flywithjoe.com

I came across this photo as I was surfing around the web and thought it was a great example of a different sort of aviation tattoo.  Pictured here is Freddie Laker, son of Sir Freddie Laker, British airline entrepreneur. The tattoo is the logo of his fathers airline, Laker Airways. The photo comes from the Flickr stream of Flywithjoe.com and the Fly With Me Podcast Episode 15.

For those of you who don’t know of Sir Freddie Laker, he was a real revolutionary back in the 70s and 80s as the founder of the first real budget airline, Laker Airways.

It reminds me of the commitment and brand loyalty that some in the airline industry feel for their employer… surely there must be an airline employee out there that has a permanent tribute to their ‘line… Southwest Airlines perhaps?

If anyone has an example of an airline-related tattoo, please let us know at tattoosinflight@gmail.com!  We’d love to feature it here!

Of course, any other aviation or flight related tattoo is always appreciated too!
